What all of these beautiful network diagrams make me think about is this: how much do our humanistic questions shape the diagrams, and how much can these diagrams shape our humanistic work?

Perhaps in class today we can think about some of the questions we have for our work in literature or history, and imagine what kind of network analysis might help to answer them.

We might also take some of the network diagrams we’ve looked at, and see how we can use them to answer some of the questions we might have about the subject matter, and consider what new questions they might encourage us to consider.
