Just a reminder that I will be in the DSL this afternoon if you’d like to meet with me about your projects. The rest of my week almost completely booked, so I strongly suggest you take this opportunity to meet if you have questions or need help with your project.
I forgot to mention this in class on Monday, but if anyone is interested in learning more about my research, I’ll be the lunch speaker at the Joukowsky Brown Bags in Archeology series tomorrow. Pizza is provided. My talk is entitled “Mapping Networks and Networking Maps: Digital tools for tracing people through time and space.” You can learn more about the lecture series here http://proteus.brown.edu/entrenched/Home
Our lab will still meet as scheduled at 1pm. Bring your problematic data!
Here is a sample file for today’s lab with gephi. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alr8r4amUHtJdEpyS3NHTUFaVW9jRlVObDQ3djE3MHc&usp=sharing
The Introduction to Mapping Lab has been moved from Thursday, October 10 to October 17th. We don’t have class that Monday, but the lab will still meet.
On Thursday, October 10 we will have an open lab. Bring your questions on any of the tools we’ve discussed so far. Feel free to bring any data sets you are interested in using for your final project.
